  Visited July 2016 while in Maui for four days, great location right up the street from the Marriott where we were staying. Grabbed a reservation on Open Table but it really wasn't necessary with an early arrival around 6. Greeted promptly and brought to a nice outside table(area is covered). Immediately greeted by our server. Service was excellent, almost too good to be honest...we could have used a few minute break in between his visits but I'll take it.
  
  They have a great wine selection and I got a couple of 3oz pours to try new wines I hadn't had..I liked that a lot. Food is very good and you will certainly not be disappointed in the quality. Portion sizes were a bit small for the price, I had the lasagna which was very good...I just could have eaten a bit more. My wife's gnocchi was very good as well, but she ate it all so that means the portion wasn't huge.
  
  Overall this is a great restaurant with great service, just expect to pay a bit above average that's all. Probably makes sense with the area. Recommend a visit.

  Great food and service. Best spot in the area. Kid friendly but also good for date night.

  A true family restaurant feel. What it lacks in polish is more than compensated for with sincerity. I don't care too much for Italian food yet everything I had was fresh, prepared well and satisfying. For comparison, I ate at Plantation House the night after and thought Matteo's food was far superior. I think this place is currently an under-appreciated gem on the restaurant scene and a far greater value than many others.
