  I have eaten at many great restaurants and this was very average food. Okay for Wailea standards, but very average for world standards. I get better steals down the road back home at a $10 steak night. Don't order steak here. We ordered two steak meals and Meat was on the tough side. the Mac and cheese side was two spoonfuls, so make sure you order 4 servings for two people and you will get a proper side ordering.

  Great steak even though it was incredibly small (6oz, it should be listed as an appetizer) but still ridiculously expensive. Ruth Chris is comparable but with almost twice the portion size for same price. Nothing is worse than spending $250 on a dinner and going home hungry....

  This was our second time to Duo, the first being several years ago. We had a good experience then and went into the meal with reasonably high expectations. I was totally disappointed. Portion size has shrunk, prices have gone up, but perhaps worst of all, service was slow and food quality was pedestrian at best.
  
  My filet was not well trimmed and over cooked. The al a carte side, a loaded potato lacked creativity. I ordered a ridiculously expensive cocktail ($19) and essentially got an old fashioned made with too much ice. Tasted like something out of an airport cocktail lounge.
  
  In reading these reviews, in seems that the better reviews were several years ago. Something definitely had slid and I would advise looking elsewhere for a fine dining experience on Maui.
